  • Lord Nelson, Trafalgar, HMS Victory

The Historic Pen Company is proud to introduce the first pen made from a small collection of wood from arguably the most famous ship in the history of the British Royal Navy - His Majesty's Ship Victory.

The HMS Victory is a 104-gun first-rate ship of the line of the Royal Nay, laid down in 1759 and launched in 1765. She is most famous as Lord Nelson's flag ship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

The world's oldest commissioned warship, HMS Victory was taken into dry dock in 1922 in very poor condition and HPC has been able to secure a few pieces of Pitch Pine, Oak and Teak along with two small pieces of copper that were part of the 30+ tons of materials removed and replaced as part of the 1922 restoration program that returned her to her Trafalgar configuration.

The HMS Victory - Silver and Teak is a one of a kind pen made from the piece of HMS Victory teak wood and features HPC's exclusive Sterling Silver hardware in a slim line design.

The HMS Victory - Silver and Teak is not only a heirloom piece of "Witness Wood" that should be carried, used and passed down to future generations, but this amazing pen is also a one of a kind work of art and craftsmanship that commemorates one of the pivotal naval battles in world history.

Whether for display or function, this is a rare opportunity to own a one of a kind, handcrafted piece of art, an heirloom that can be passed down to the next generation only adding to the history that this "Witness Wood" that was HMS Victory has already absorbed!
